Rani heart speaks `Dil Bole Hadippa`with Toronto response

rani-heart-speaks-dil-bole-hadippawith-toronto-response1Rani Mukerji, who is returning to the big screen after a gap of one year, is over the moon with the positive response to her upcoming movie `Dil Bole Hadippa` at the ongoing Toronto Film Festival.
The actress, whose last film `Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic` in 2008 failed to make any mark at the box office, has now hold her hopes on `Haddipa` and says that audience response at the festival was “very very comforting”.
Rani after attending the world premiere of the movie said at press conference”People seem to love the movie. It was very very comforting. I am really happy and would like to thank the people of Canada,”.
For the first time in her career Rani is playing the role of man in `Dil Bole Hadippa`, which stars Shahid Kapur as a cricket coach.
“For the first time I was playing the role of a man, that also of a Sardar. It came naturally to me. I had a lot of Sardar friends in school. I picked up a lot from them.”
Rani enjoyed working with Shahid Kapur, whom she described as “good looking, charming and sincere.” and added that “Shahid has a long way to go.” The actress, who thinks herself a “comedian in real life” said, “It is important that you do good roles. It is important to be happy and I did that.”
Rani plays a cricket devotee named Veer Pratap Singh in the movie but she admitted that “it was difficult learning to play cricket, particularly the physical toughness.”
Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Anurag Singh, the film revolves around Veera (Rani Mukerji), who is a fire-cricketer of a girl who lives in a small village but dreams in 70mm. She works in a local theatre group but dreams of playing cricket in the big league. In a village where girls don`t play cricket, Veera has to put on a turban and beard and become a man to fulfil her dreams.
Despite her love for the game, the actress has no plans to become an IPL team owner.
“I am not that rich to buy an IPL team. I still have a long way to go.”
While Rohan (Shahid Kapur) is an accomplished captain of a county cricket team in England. Rohan returns to India to captain his father`s cricket team which has been losing consecutively for the last 8 years.
Set wholly in rural Punjab, the film also stars Sherlyn Chopra, Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil and Rakhi Sawant.
