Amy Winehouse has grown “extremely close” to a resort Father Christmas.
The 25-year-old ‘Rehab’ star has reportedly formed a romantic bond with a man named Matt who worked as Santa Claus at the hotel in St. Lucia where the singer is currently on holiday.
A source said: “He seems to be really easy going and funny, which Amy loves.
“She seems smitten. She slopes off with him whenever she can and they have been inseparable since meeting.
The problem is, whenever they get together, they disappear off on their own
 ”They are about the same age and from what everyone has seen there is no doubt they have hit it off. Amy follows him round like an elf.”
Despite their increasingly close relationship, Matt is said to be remaining tight-lipped about Amy – who has reportedly consulted divorce lawyers about her marriage to jailed Blake Fielder-Civil – and the pair have gone to great lengths to keep their budding romance under wraps since meeting on the beach last week.
One hotel guest told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “People have asked him what is going on but he seems shy.
“All he says is that Amy is lovely and they get on very well. The ‘Womanizer’ singer is said to be refusing to stick to the 1,200 calories-a-day diet devised for her by her managers and has regularly been bingeing on fast food.
A source close to the singer told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Britney’s been eating burgers and chips for lunch in complete defiance of the strict eating plan worked out for her.
“It’s as if she’s trying to defy her father and bosses, and break out of the controlled environment by turning away from the healthy lifestyle they’ve put in place.”

However, she recently claimed the strict conditions of her new lifestyle make her feel trapped.

Jennifer Hudson’s brother-in-law has been formally indicted on murder and home invasion charges following the killings of her mother, brother and nephew in October.
William Balfour was indicted on the same four counts he was formally charged with earlier this month – three counts of first degree murder and one of home invasion – at a hearing in a Chicago court yesterday (30.12.08).
Balfour – who is the estranged husband of Jennifer’s sister Julia – is accused of murdering the singer’s mother Darnell Donerson, 57, brother Jason Hudson, 29, and seven-year-old nephew Julian King on October 24.
He denies all involvement in the killings, and is currently being held without bond on a parole violation at Illinois’ Stateville Correctional Center.
“That’s not the way it should work”
 Balfour’s attorney Joshua Kutnick insists his client is innocent and claims there is no hard evidence linking him to the crimes.
Kutnick said: “The police believe it is William Balfour, but the problem is what they have done. They find their suspect and build evidence around the suspect. That’s not the way it should work. They should gather evidence and it should lead to a suspect.
“This was the convenient person to go to. It is bolstered by the fact that it took them so long to get him arrested and charged.”
During the short hearing, Balfour’s attorney Joshua Kutnick asked for him to be transferred to the Cook County Jail in order to make it easier for him to communicate with his family and legal team.The judge will rule on the request at Balfour’s next hearing, scheduled for January 20.It has previously been alleged that Balfour killed Darnell, Jason and Julian after becoming overcome with envy when he saw Julia receive a birthday present from a new boyfriend.

The actress’ one-time spouse will spend the holiday with Demi, the former couple’s three daughters – Rumer, 20, Scout LaRue, 17, and Tallulah Belle, 14 – and her new husband Ashton Kutcher.
Demi, 46, said: “We will be having an unconventional Christmas in that we’ll all be together. I think the key with any past is that you recognise and hold onto what you loved and what you gained and you don’t attach yourself to what you’ve lost.”
Despite divorcing in 2000, Demi always wanted Bruce to remain as close as possible to their girls and still sees him as very much part of the family.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are set to spend $6,000 on wrapping paper this Christmas.
The celebrity couple – who have a two-year-old daughter Suri together – are said to want to impress friends and family by wrapping gifts in expensive paper.
A source said: “Tom and Katie are planning to wrap each present in $60 worth of wrapping paper and then put a $140 Jay Strongwater ornament on the top. With all the presents they have to send, they are going to be spending at least $6,000 on the paper alone.”
Last year, Katie designed her family’s Christmas card, sent out on behalf of her, Tom, Suri and Tom’s two adopted children Bella and Connor with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.

‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ star spent more than £3 million rebuilding 150 New Orleans homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina – just in time for the festive season.
Gloria Guy – a 69-year-old grandmother who lost her house, pets and eldest son in the 2005 storm – said the 44-year-old star has built her a dream house.
She said: “I am so happy I don’t know what to do with myself. I thank God for Brad Pitt.”
The actor – who raises six children with Angelina – has also been generous with his time, visiting the families he has helped
 The actor – who bought a villa in the city’s French Quarter with partner Angelina Jolie in 2006 – funded 150 eco-houses as part of the Make It Right programme. He plans to build more in the New Year.

The actor – who raises six children with Angelina – has also been generous with his time, visiting the families he has helped.

Jennifer Hudson will make her first public appearance since the tragic deaths of her mother, brother and nephew at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala in February.
The 27-year-old star – who has been in hiding since mom Darnell Donerson Hudson, sibling Jason Hudson and seven-year-old nephew Julian King were shot in October – will perform a selection of Neil Diamond songs at the event, to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Other stars to grace the stage at the concert on February 6 include Coldplay, the Foo Fighters, Josh Groban and Tim McGraw ahead of the 51st annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles’ Staples Center on February 8.
Jennifer is said to be ready to get her life and career back on track following the tragedy.
Earlier this month, she was due to shoot a rescheduled video for her new single ‘If It Isn’t Love’ – which was originally set to happen around the time of the deaths.
However, Jennifer pulled out of filming the promo amid reports she was still too emotionally distressed about the murders.
Jennifer’s brother-in-law William Balfour – the estranged husband of Jennifer’s sister Julia – has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of home invasion.
